Time invested should result in better rewards and more difficult content too. Where are all of a sudden the weekly dungeons and raids for guaranteed pinnacles?
The only rewarding activities seem to be solo ops and pinnacle ops. And even then you need to run a bunch for a pinnacle to drop.
Solstice was nice for some guaranteed pinnacle drops but we need more weekly activities with guaranteed pinnacles.
If you reach the lighthouse, finish the new raid, finish the weekly raid completely, finish the weekly dungeon completely, finish mythic / ultimate content or like these seasonal events it should drop guaranteed pinnacles.

I ran Desert last night with three Feats active, just got a bunch of Tier 3's. Meanwhile, I can run over fifteen Solo Ops in that same amount of time and get Tier 4's. The Pinnacle Endgame Content is less rewarding than running the same recycled activity ten times.

Pretty bored with running K1 and Starcrossed and Caldera.. ZZzzz
-
To be fair it's not that solo is the MOST rewarding, it's just the fastest. The others just need to add rewards for the time sink.
-
Working as intended. Under delivery as to avoid creating any patterns that are not realistic. Obviously thinking Bungie can make fun engaging rewarding content anymore is unrealistic . Too bad so sad. End of an era.

Edited by Dooodley: 8/12/2025 6:22:10 PMIs it though? I've just sat through like 30 solo ops'es and havent recieved a single pinnacle drop. Is there some trick to what modifiers to have on or is it just a matter of getting a good score - which basically can be achieved without modifiers if you're just 400. And this is how messed up the current system is. Outside of the in-game score being completely different from the score you can read before starting the mission - which makes no sense at all - we wouldnt even have known how to power up if it hadnt been the internet, or even what max was. Now take into consideration that you can play 30 solo ops'es without progressing in any way and most people probably would have quit at 400, thinking they reached max. It's unbelievable how they manage to complicate a system that already had flaws - albeit still being way superior to the garbage we have now. There is zero logic with the current system.

They shouldn't lower rewards in solo. They should increase the rewards everywhere else. You should be incentivised to play with a fireteam and it should be worth it. Everything should be like trials, fireteam wise. If you have a pre-made fireteam before going into an activity you should get a higher power boost or even and extra drop or two

Hey, what chew dewing?! 🫃🏻

I'm sick of solo ops ,hello bungie ? what kind of nut job came up with its ok to run solo ops for rewards that barley give a point higher in one slot?? and many runs it puts it in same slot . so it's a waste of time. surly you can do better then that my word.

I'm at 307 light, and I imagine I'll still be lower than 320 come the next week. It's so boring.

It’s not insane. I appreciate it. Solo is my gig and I shouldn’t have to be punished for it.
-
I wish it worked that way. In actuality they'll just make solo-ops harder or less rewarding to match other sources lol. Take my upvote.
-
after 10 years of this game I find very little "insane". I'm just not surprised.
-
My biggest issue with Solo.Ops is that besides Caldera, it's all old recycled content with custom modifiers. I guess this goes for the Playist activities as well.
-
Agree 💯 - it's great that they added solo ops, but as a solo player (not in a clan and have no friends that play D2) I want to run activities with other guardians and earn decent rewards that way. This new system with all the predicted scores really confuses me. I selected an activity under fireteam ops yesterday and added some modifiers to make it A rating, I then created an lfg for it and stated it was A rated, but when the other guardians joined and I went to start the activity the same modifiers were now a C rating, I could not even get it to A so I added as much difficulty as I could, ran it and thought 'never again'. 🤷

Whatever happened to “The end game is the friend game”? So much for that hey Bungie… But yeah solo ops is the only way to go for leveling and weekly mythic missions for guaranteed t5 armor (too bad the set bonus is trash)
-
Hmmm I dunno I got some pretty good loot for going flawless.
-
The 2 weekly mythic missions should at least drop at a plus 3 and not at 300 power as the max power they can drop. Master MM is horrible and filled with bots flying past everything with eager edge whats the point of Raids and Dungeons when solo ops give better loot

Edited by neonsox42: 8/12/2025 3:17:15 PMWe should get a drop for every 7-ish minutes invested. Fireteam ops should give - around 2 for normal strikes/battlegrounds, easy mode Onslaught, and Savathun’s Spire type activities - Coil should drop 1 at each middle encounter and 4 at the final boss of the loop. 1 of the daily rotators with matchmaking should always pull from a more unique activity like the Coil or Savathun’s Spire.

Fire team ops and crucible will be getting increased rewards. Dungeon content is being added to the portal in September.

Where are all of a sudden the weekly dungeons and raids for guaranteed pinnacles? They're gone, because people cheesed those drops.

I generally like how Solo Ops is formulated. About 5 minute investment for a drop. It allows me to run a Solo Op if I have some downtime between activities. In general, the loot pool is rather dull, so its really only use is the power number. The ratio of power should generally scale to other activities for greater time investment... Or maybe solo ops should be reduced only be a +1 or +2? Some of the shortest Solo Op locations may be revisited with a balance patch, but I think around 5 minutes is the target. I just hope that they dont do what Salt Mines does, where you are just waiting for adds to trickle out and kill before you can move on. I have always kind of liked the way that the pinnacles would rotate through many different activities each week, and highlight different dungeons and raids. This helped increase the interest and population for those activities, and it made it easy to LFG a group on weeks where they were highlighted. Now, its hard to find a group for anything outside of Portal farming.
