I am Posting this again because the "Marked Answer" was completely wrong, not even related to the issue.
When attempting to setup cross save. I have ONE Steam account linked to my Bungie, ONE Xbox Account and ONE PS4 account. When I login to Bungie via Steam, go to Cross Save, it asks me to Authenticate for Steam to cross save my characters.
I sign in to steam, but then get the error message as shown in the picture.
- I have tried different Browsers
- Different Computers
- Clear Browser Caches and Cookies
- Tested via the companion App
- Verified using Inspect Element the Token being provided by Steam
- Opened several Tickets with Steam and Confirmed without a DOUBT there is ZERO Issue with Steam
According to Steam, Bungie is refusing the authentication on their end. There is nothing they can do on their end as the issue is not with Steam.
I have tested EVERYTHING on the planet at this point. This is 100% an issue with the BUNGIE server side authentication.
NO I am not trying to Unlink anything. My steam is associated with ONE and ONE Bungie account only. I am not trying to authenticate with a different account.
I have read through all the troubleshooting guides, I have checked online resources, I have tested multiple different things to ensure this is NOT a user issue.
Since I cannot open a Bungie ticket, this is something that needs to be addressed by Bungie.
Can I PLEASE get some ACTUAL assistance from a Bungie support staff member.
Steam has investigated this issue for me for over two weeks. They even went as far as escalating the issue to their senior support team. They have confirmed everything is being done correctly and only Bungie can address this issue.
The goal is to cross save between my Steam Characters and Xbox.

Based on your post here https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264812341?sort=0&page=0 The original Steam account was stolen and subsequently deleted, if that is the case it cannot be authenticated to activate or deactivate cross save. With this information, can you maybe elaborate a bit more on what you are trying to accomplish? Is this a new/different account you are trying to match to your existing PSN?
