Whoever is left playing Destiny, don’t buy anything from Bungie Store

Worst experience buying something in my life. So far 300$ down the toilet. No customer service whatsoever, terrible. I only get automated responses, totally depressing. I have quit Destiny, this is truly the lastest of last straws. I’ll have to do extra steps one last time to get my money back, it’ll be my last mission in my 10 years of Destiny. Talk about fall from grace.

  • Months ago, I tried buying the engram plushie and a cpl tee shirts to get that cat emblem. My Bungie account has been linked since 2014, but couldn’t get the transaction to go through. Called my bank, they said it was on Bungie’s end. Called Bungie, some chic couldn’t figure it out. Sent emails. No solution. Never tried again. Third world service. My husband bought a triumph tee a year back and it took 5 months to arrive. Shyte company.

  • Dealing with Bungie or any Company is like the ladder effect. When you look up, all you see is a bunch of -blam!-, when they look down all they see is happy faces.

  • I was trying to buy the choir of one plaque. However it says I don’t have the achievement. Yet I do on my profile. 🤷🏻‍♂️ not to mention I have all the perks so it’s not as though I bought the gun. Their system just cost them a sale.

  • I bought one thing from the store and it was the Archie plush. It looks 4 months to deliver but at least it was high quality. Of course I could have gotten something of similar quality from Amazon within a day so... what gives

  • I had a problem a couple years ago when I pre-ordered a Collector's Edition. The store refused to cancel my order and issue a refund! I contacted my card issuer. They generated a chargeback, and I received my refund.

  • Awhile ago I bought a weapon ornament with silver. The ornament only showed up when inspecting the weapon, not when it was in-game. I was basically told that there's nothing they can do about it. Case closed.

    • Yup.. that tracks. Bought the Ace of Spades nerf gun for my 7 year old almost a year ago. They took ages to send it and didn't properly fil in the customs form. The brazillian customs sent it back to Bungie to correct the mistake, but they never did. They never answered any of my e-mails. They Never sent the item again and I basically lost the money, since I couldn't chargeback anymore (months had passed). So yeah... I'm pretty upset too, but I'm glad most of them are out of a job now. Good riddance. The only reason I still play this "fantastic" game is because I got my son into it and he is still having fun going through the campaings. I hope Sony dismantles the studio and uses whats left to develop cheap assets for other, better, Sony studios.

      • They got some pretty damn cool shaders at the moment and bioluminescent is moving around and glowing green like one of those Japanese sea wave drawings. I never ever drop money but they had something cool this time, over in fortnite about the whole Master Chief set again this is more than I've ever spent microtransaction ever right below Master Chief though was destiny 2 set... There was no Cade there was just zavala ikora and The stranger none of which interests me I would have paid 30 bucks just for Cade but no

          The only reason to ever buy something from the Bungie Store is a $7 digital soundtrack for the seasonal/event emblems that you like, nothing else, and that's sporadically since a lot of those emblems aren't worth collecting. If you're buying anything else on there, you're just donating money for Pete Parson's car collection. At least he can use that $300 you blindly spent.

        • In my 20 years of gaming I have put nearly $19,000 towards video games and a few towards destiny 2 but I love collecting stuff sorry you're having such a problem but I try to spend money towards the store just to support the game because without that this game wouldn't exist

            What the hell did you order for 300!!?? My biggest purchase was a t-shirt like 10 years ago and got an emblem with it. Apparently the emblem is now worth a 1000 bucks for some losers but I still wear it.

            Sorry to read that. Hope it gets resolved. If you paid by credit card give them a call. I’ve had to get them to step in with a couple of retailers over the years, and they sorted it quickly.

            • I'm a bit of a Luddite so my general rule is if I cannot get the item or service as soon as the money has left my account then I am not buying it.

            • I only buy stuff for emblems, I'm not really concerned when the actual physical item gets to me But thats like a cheap pin or something, I would never order something expensive from a game studio that primarily delivers digital products

              • They have good stuff, but they have never been good with pricing and shipping. Too expensive, and shipping is super slow. I got my item today, but it took 4 weeks to get here. Ridiculous.
