Recently it was discovered that Well of Radiance and Ward of Dawn take much more damage from bosses ([url=https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/1mmraey/]link[/url]). This is caused by the absence of Resilience stat. The more Warlock/Titan had Resilience, the less damage WoR and WoD took.
Stasis Breakout also depended on Resilience. The more Resilience a Guardian had, the less damage they took while breaking out. Now there is no Resilience, so all Guardians take much more damage from Stasis Breakout.

The underlying cause of MOST incoming damages doing more damage than intended is due to how the games engine handles damage numbers on higher framerates. Bungie have said that they untied it, but it's actually not true. Day 1 of Root of Nightmares, majority of contest clears were played with framerates under or at 60 FPS.
