I have some feedback to share regarding the warlock changes, some of which is good, and some of it is going to be very "venting of past frustrations".
Ok, let's start with the good buffs that made me happy to see.
Abilities- The good
Empowering Rift: Its about -blam!- time this rift was given some actual utility other than make big damage number get bigger. This is a good change and may give secant Filaments a use case over other void exotics, especially if you buff the effects of certain exotics that are meant to have synergy with EMP rifts.
Frost pulse upgrade seems interesting, There needs to be more of an explanation here because the wording here, does a pulse shoot out of the rift on every freeze instince or is it at the location of the freeze because giving warlocks a chill clip ajacent ability would be pretty cool for Shadebinder to have especially since it has a big ice magic vibe.
Pocket singularity buff is good, we needed other options aside from arcane needle on prismatic anyway, in fact if you really want warlocks to stand out you can give them more ability uses at base...
Abilities, the bad.
Ah strand lock, how unapologetically HATE this subclass. sorry not sorry, but I really do not like strand Strand warlock.
Why do I have a strong dislike for this subclass? Its bland, It cant do anything better than the other classes except make more threadlings, threadlings on warlock are barely better than what you get with other classes. While we do have aspects on strand that are actually fun (Mind spun invocation)
Every other option on Strand warlock is not just bad, it isnt fun or even creative and all they serve to do is make more tangles or threadlings. thats bland as white on toast and isnt nearly as creative as anything else in the titan and hunter kits.
Broodweaver is the blatent example as to why warlock is NOT fun to play, what pisses me off here is that instead of making these aspects (Specifically the wanderer and the weave walk aspects ) and making them actually good abilities not just in gameplay but THEMATICALLY. There is a reason as to why I barely interact with strand on warlock, and thats because the best thing about it (Arcane needle) is on Prismatic. and imma say it, Mindspun invocation would have been better for prismatic than weavers call.
If you didnt get my implecation, I REALLY HATE STRAND WARLOCK AND ITS FOCUS ON THREADLINGS and strand because it created the "buddy build" mindset. Buddys should be a nice little addition to your gameplay loop not the focus of your entire build. your handy little helper. For example if weavers call allowed deployed threadlings to collect ammo and ammunition, in addition to what it already does then you might be cooking.
Lastly, the exotic updates feel more like fixes rather then changes. Nothing that really breaks warlocks free from the same boring builds (Looking at you starfire protocol metas).
