Cross save problems--Please help
Long story but I started destiny on Playstation but moved to PC but now have a Playstation 5 pro and have a different user name for playstation network. I would like to be able to keep the same characters for both PC and Playstation and be able to choose on which systemi want to play anytime .I just bought everything again on Playstation but on the cross save section it still as my old playstation network name. .How do ichange my old playstation nane to my new name and have everything on both systems. I looked in the cross save FAQ but couldn't find an answer. Thanks

1 ReplyHey there, unfortunately since March 2025, accounts can no longer be unlinked, so it is not possible to detach the current Steam account from the current PSN account. That link is permanent. In addition, the old PSN is your Primary, Active account, it is where your current characters originated from and they are permanently tied to it. You may be playing them on PC currently, but each time you launch the game on Steam, you are logging into and playing your PSN characters, shared to Steam by cross-save. That means to want to discard the old PSN account would mean losing the old characters completely. There is no way to transfer the old character to the new account, so what you're asking for has never been possible - to play those characters on PS5 you will need to log into that old PSN account.
