Trials should drop tier 5 gear regardless of light, and it should drop a lot of it, on going flawless. As of right now there is literally zero reason to go flawless outside of the glow and other cosmetics which are borderline pointless. The flawless chest needs to drop way more loot that is guaranteed high tier.

They never had to took off special ammo,, this new system is real bullshit,, Abilitys are taking over now, we dont need Guns anymore lmao

I think flawless should be guaranteeing 4-5 gear. While not the point of the post, I likewise think the higher ends of the raid should be dropping 4-5 gear consistently.

Spent like 5 hours playing trials this weekend, went to the lighthouse twice (4 and 5 win streak I played solo so this was grueling) the absolute lack of weapon drops is demoralizing. And I love PvP but on top of not being able to focus gear with engrams, and the drops being maybe one or two light above my light level it just feels worthless. Makes me not wanna even get a lighthouse passage and just get the other one and relax in chiller lobbies and get the same loot. I don’t understand this change at all. The lighthouse needs exceptional gear to feel like an EXCEPTIONAL accomplishment. This tying gear behind guardian rank is one of the worst decisions by far this season

Edited by The Warrior: 8/16/2025 4:34:51 PMLoot is terrible and they added some type of matchmaking. / lobby balancing on top of it. Game is efficiently designed to waste your time.

Edited by Golden: 8/15/2025 8:25:50 PMLighthouse should guarantee T4-T5 drops regardless of rank or light. There’s no point of the light house when I get better rewards for losing matches 💀

I agree. I am 441 right now and I am currently grinding trials but the chest gave me crap for a 6 streak ticket. I am however getting tier 5 trials loot for prime drops so just staying in the playlist is more rewarding than the chest.

You should spend more time playing the game. Destiny 2 emphasizes user engagement and does not reward those who aren't dedicating time to acquire gear. The design is straightforward, making it accessible for everyone to finish. I do agree that if you've met the required criteria for better gear, it should drop. However, if you're only playing casually and excel only in Crucible, you're not contributing to the game's longevity. Alternatively, you could play more Crucible and level up that way.

It also needs a better gameplay. The gamemode has become slow paced like crazy because of the primary camping only meta. Facing 3 pulse riffles or 3 HC players, that are just camping and waiting for your team to show their heads isnt a fun experience at all. Trials is now primary only and its saddening to see it went back to d2 y1 (aka the worst time for pvp) - No mobility (since jumping makes you miss) - no special ammo each round so bye bye agressive clutch gameplay. - primary only so everybody is camping with high aim assist weapons. - super cooldowns being so high you never see a single super per round unless you are the ONLY ONE dealing dmg and the match is a 4-5 - only abilities you can spam are frustrating to play against, and boring to use (invis or smokes) I mean...the map is a close range one that used to be full of agressive players, now its just so slow each match you end up falling asleep...

And worse still. They removed the bounties for those who aren't willing to pay them money, so us free to players can't even get any trials gear now.

Reverting special ammo to this new garbage system just made it harder to carry idiots with .04 kds
-
Needs better team compiling too, no reason I should be getting peak .5kd players in a gamemode where im supposed to actually win for rewards
-
Just for the senseless terrible drag of playing solo and carrying 0.3 noobs alone should give atleast t5
