I should not NEED to use resources outside of the game to play ANYTHING.
TL;DR Add matchmaking to EVERYTHING. Give us the option to OPT OUT.
The new Portal feature, i like. I think it's fine. Organized. But the very simple fact is that essentially

is Solo ops, because virtually N O T H I N G has matchmaking. Matchmaking should've always been a feature that can be turned off, not something that doesn't exist. I have hardly played EoF because everything has to be done alone. There is no in game way to play with people. I have to use Discord LFG. Which would be fine for Raids. But basic content? Why am i being forced to play alone?
This post wont be monitored for replies since it's the first post I've ever made so the people that plan to read this and flame me for it, pop off. No, i don't have friends to play with. No, i won't 'just make friends' to play the game with. I'm 32. The days of making online friends is over.

First off, 32 isn't old, it isn't even middle age yet, 38 is middle age. I am old, I'm 50 and I recently joined a new clan, probably the oldest one in it, so I don't think the number defining the rotations around the sun count for much when it comes to making friends. Approach does matter, so look for a clan, tons of them around, if it isn't a good fit try anoither one ... You are never too old to make new friends . Get out there and get some loot with some new friends! (If the RnG isn't still very broken!)
