Please Add Some Sort of Attunement for Event Holofoils
After playing nonstop throughout Solstice I have looted 5 of the SMG, 2 of the bow and only one of the GL, and the GL being the one I actually want had a useless roll. It's bad enough that this is a limited time thing, and you're fighting the odds to not only drop the particular weapon you want, but to also get the perks you want and Bungie full well knows that Blast Distribution is what everyone wants on the GL.
Yes I am fully aware that the holo is cosmetic, no I don't have an issue with things taking time, effort, or skill to acquire; nor do I have an inherent problem with low droprates. However, when you are dealing with a time-limited event, players are being punished for simply being unlucky. There is no input that the player can leverage other than playing as much as possible during the event. If this were something permanently available this wouldn't be an issue. It would seem Bungie knows this hence the Brave and Eternal weapons having attunement, and even Arms Week you could focus the engram. Yet now in Solstice there's no way to focus or weight drops in your favor to farm a specific weapon for a holo chance.
Here's hoping that I don't get screwed over by the time solstice is over as I actually liked the look of the holos and was looking forward to farming for the GL but it's getting more and more demotivating each day as we approach the end of the event. To be completely honest, I think that the holos should be more like the mementos, allow you to choose a weapon you've already looted to upgrade into a holofoil. I personally think that super low droprates and time-limited events are a bad combination.
