Hello Bungie Support Team,
I’ve been experiencing very heavy lag and desynchronization issues in Destiny 2, especially during multiplayer activities such as Strikes, Public Events or any activity that involves other players. Enemies don’t spawn, objectives don’t progress, and sometimes I get sent back to orbit.
Here is the full list of everything I’ve already tried:
• PS5 connected via wired Ethernet (Cat6)
• Fiber connection (Etisalat – UAE)
• Download speed 600 Mbps / Upload 28 Mbps
• Static IP configured manually on PS5
• DNS: 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.4.4
• MTU set to 1473 (also tried 1400)
• All Destiny 2 ports forwarded (TCP: 1935, 3478–3480 / UDP: 3074, 3097, 3478–3479)
• UPnP enabled
• Tested DMZ mode (PS5 as DMZ host)
• QoS enabled (PS5 set to high priority)
• Tried both 5GHz Wi-Fi and Ethernet
• Eliminated Double NAT by running the D-Link router in Access Point mode (LAN-to-LAN)
• Tested connection with only PS5 on the network
• Performed traceroute to bungie.net → no abnormal ping or spikes (all hops 11 ms or below)
Result: All other online games work fine with no lag or disconnections. Only Destiny 2 still experiences heavy lag and desync during activities with other players. This issue did not exist before and started recently.
Question: Is there any known connectivity or routing issue between Etisalat (UAE) and Bungie servers? Is there anything else I can try specifically for Destiny 2?
Thank you for your help.

By experience (of people reporting arugula errors before), it is often linked to some sort of censorship/filtering/aggressive monitoring of internet connections done by the ISP (or the agency that manages the overall Internet traffic in your Country).
