To start, I have had no issues with the enemy teams I’m put up against. They’re usually around my skill level. A little higher or a little lower, depending on my luck, which is how it should always be. My problem is the teammates I’m getting. I don’t know how it happens almost 95% of the time, but I simply cannot escape the players who barely use cover, run unoptimized loadouts, don’t revive, never teamshoot, etc. It genuinely feels as if the matchmaking finds 3 people around my skill level, and then randomly pull the last 2 out of a hat and throw them on my team, forcing me to either carry or be on the top of the losing team. And getting a win streak at all is almost impossible because of this. Back in Lightfall and even Final Shape, I could get my 7 wins in a row, or 7 wins with one mercy, pretty reliably as long as I tried hard enough. But with this matchmaking and the teammates I’m getting, it does not matter how well I play. Unless I’m getting mostly solo team-wipes every round, it is going to be a SLOG just to win 5 rounds and get one victory on my card. (And I don’t stack because A: My friends don’t fw pvp, and B: The matchmaking starts messing with the enemy team and gives me people way above my skill level) If anyone else has this issue, I suggest posting about it so that Bungie can hopefully look at how games are being matchmade, because this is seriously ruining the endgame PvP experience.
