What makes PVP bad to play?

We’ve been hearing it for years, the popular opinion is that PVP is a raging inferno of odorous excrement. I’m interested to hear why people dislike, hate, abhor PvP. Feel free to be honest or even say why you like it.

Its just a usual cycle, you got nerfs, buffs, and meta's. Right now it probably feels slow to play due to longer range pulse-meta fights like from Year 1.
