400 - 450 grind is masochistic
Not there yet, but the most I'm going to purposefully grind to is 400.
Can we get an update on where the power grind resolution is at Bungie???

got to 400 but rehashed content makes playing the game boring af ,not to mention the rewards are bare bone with a tier 5 sprinkled in now and then that Stat wise isn't much better then a good 4 . ok game as a free to play . but you might want to think about any future purchase from bungie.

It's a massive chor. This has made me really not wanna play anymore. Solo ops.solo ops. Solo ops. Solo ops. Come on bungie. So many players ain't coming back when we drop back to 200

Imagine going through all this grinding displeasure just to be reset and have to do it all over again lol. Everyone is complaining about the wrong stuff! How there isn't a petition signed by millions of people protesting against resetting our power is beyond me. I'm baffled.

I have never played that less since the release of "Edge of Fate." The new power leveling is absurd. Absurd, in the form of a speedrun pocket format like the Portal. In addition comes item expiration to a certain degree and restrictions practically everywhere. And that, on the basis of a structure existing totally differently for 10 years. I forgo around almost everything what was brought on mechanics with "Edge of Fate." Because of its caducity and its strain. Pardon me, but it's just crazy what Bungie did with Destiny 2. A lot more "crazy" than the regular Bungie-madness.

1 ReplyYup I’m pretty close to binning off this game . Why do I have to do everything at high level or die of boredom doing solo ops . Why do a master mode with a tight timer to earn revives and loose them because you can’t get to the end of the mission in time . This has to be the most poorly thought out system they’ve ever put in, I’ve been around a long time I’ve seen some garbage but this is just so stupid

1 ReplyWell, I for one, cannot for the life of me figure out what the advantage is of getting to 450 anyway. The majority of my best weapons and armour have come from the first week, and solstice, so the tier 3s and the occasional tier 4s that I'm starting to get is basically infusion loot. We'll all be back to 200 in a few weeks anyway, so why the big rush, and, what's the point?

I’m getting super unlucky. That said, 450 is an unneeded bonus. Once ash and iron comes out, 550 will be the max and you’ll level from 400-500 like normal.

At 350, you unlock the +1 Tier upgrade and can (and should) do only the two Weekly Story missions on Mythic which guarantee a Tier 5 weapon that your vendor focus is set to (but only twice per character per week) The final 3 portal Conquests were however, and gave multiple Tier 5 weapons upon completing them. The Solstice Event gave out Tier 5 armor like candy and the 3 weapons are better than any of the Kepler weapons (which makes sense I guess) I don't understand why at 400 power, Kepler doesn't even have a small chance to reward you with the best it can offer in The Sieve activity which is timed.

13 RepliesIm 99% sure primes are bugged or nerfed. Last 3 days ive gotten primes 3 times. Use only new gear and weapons. Kill all champions. Grade A score. Play atleast 5-6 hours every day. Do i feel drained? Hell yes. But BL4 alrdy preordered,just 23 more days to get away from this mess.

So its only a grind for those willing to become 450.. otherwise it is NOT worth it. So i'd say just play the portal activities you like to play and not focus on this stupid grind. Play for fun and you will gradually go up. Choose you way gaurdian

Yea it's ridiculous and I'm at 420 the only efficient way is doing solo and pinnacle because Fireteam ops is ridiculously tedious making us do so many runs just to get one power point up Really.

Here's my take. Just treat 400 as max level for now. If you don't want to grind for it, then don't. If there's one thing Bungie listens to far more than feedback, it's numbers. Solstice helped me hit 400, and I've decided that's as high as I'm working to climb. If the game gives me higher gear, I'll take it, but I'm not going out of my way to level up anymore.

The thing is, there is nothing to grind for. Once that 410 conquest is ticked of there is no end game. It took me 23 runs to get a pinnacle drop (all seasonal focused armour and weapons), and it fell in the same spot as my last drop 🤮
