So, yea.. I'm pretty pissed off that Soltice is going away tomorrow when past events were 3 weeks.. Considering the power grind is pretty -blam!- right now.. And the event for sure helped elevate morale. But, i can't help but feel for the casuals, destiny dads, and likes that missed missed out on this event. Or couldn't participate in it very actively.. As a working man myself, i had to call out for 3 days to extend my weekend so i can finish up my grind for the last few godrolls, and tier 5 pieces.. on all my characters. Felt pretty scrubby doing so.. but loot is loot.. lol.. The point is this event should have never been cutback after all these years. It is only avail 1 time per year. And 2 weeks is not enough time to farm multiple sets, godrolls, and power grind, as a working class american..
Aside from it was made even harder because these Ghost Mods are broken asf.. All my time grinding for one chest piece to drop as a T5 with Brawler for my Hunter still hasn't happened.. And I'm currently sitting at 407. The Ghost Mods DO NOT WORK! Either the chance is so extremely low or the mod itself is busted..
But, honestly though I feel like this event while good, and i loved the modifiers so much so i would like to keep them.. Cutting it back a week was a slap in the face to the other less time fortunate guardians..
I feel for you guys.. Trust me i had to put it in, To meet my own goals..
Bungie, as for you.. Shame shame..

Don't forget about the low rate of drops for the engrams....

Rolled out a patch today, not addressing the pathetic pinnacle drop rate. They have a chance to start making good decisions and just ignored it. DMG. MUCH LOVE..

Edited by Raijinmeister: 8/21/2025 12:20:40 AMThese ghost mods are a disgrace. Combined with the awful RNG of the game and how demented the farm is, the whole grinding for gear is an absolute cancer. Yesterday I did, probably, over 100 runs on Creation, trying to pick a t4/t5 helmet for my Warlock, and, surprise, surprise, it barely dropped any helmet and most of the time was some garbage Brawler roll. And I was using Paragon, before I was using Grenadier, but for whatever reason, as soon as I installed the Paragon mod, Grenadier pieces started to drop. I had been using Grenadier since the beginning of the season with my Warlock. Finally, I got a good helmet, and was a T5 Gunner... At least it was useful for most of my Warlock builds, mainly the Solar ones. They need to change these drop rates and increase the efficacy of the mods to 90%+.

Don't worry, the first message that popped up when logging in today was we still have another week of solstice... Oh, I mean another week to buy solstice cosmetics. Classic Bungie!!!
-
Yeah, deffo agree. With solstice being so soon after EoF launch they should have kept it at 3 weeks to throw the players a few bones. If this is simply a transition period when they are low on content then they would be doing everything to keep us engaged, but every decision they make feels like they are actively trying to switch off the player base and wind the game down.
-
Yeah agree 3 weeks would have been perfect
-
At this point, who cares? It will all "go away" soon. Get what you get and settle for it. In a few months you will have to grind everything again if you want the bonuses. So, why stress about it?
-
I can't tell if this satire or not
-
You complaining about not having enough time to play while having all 3 classes? Seem super hypocritical
-
Some events go for 1 week, others for 2, others for 3, rite if the nine went for 10 weeks.
-
They have to make time for heavy metal. That’s why it’s 2 weeks
-
Ngl, if the event is that important to you, make time for it. Sorry but it's not bungie's job to run things around casual players' independent schedules.
-
I was never gonna get enough time on this event, wasn’t worth starting
-
Ghost mods have never work, not before new dlc. Old system was ghost mods but they never work before
-
Edited by THA_3rd_GUY: 8/19/2025 12:46:04 PMTwo weeks is fine. Don't get me wrong, Solstice was an amazing way to Level up. I myself started the event around 350 and ended at 409 with all my characters having Tier 5 Armor. But the problem is we were still running the same activities we've been running since Edge first dropped. Sure, you get extra rewards, but at the end of the day Caldera is still just Caldera.

"Cruel" 😂 The hyperbole and melodrama genuinely is boundless here.

Yes it definitely was making up for the low percentage rate of the ghost mods. I still had issues getting the items right.
