Cant Raise Guardian LEVEL due to this weeks event
You locked out being able to go from Guardian Level 7 to 8 by locking us out from using Modifier FAMINE and it is a direct MUST do to complete the level. Please make this weeks modifier an optional selectable perk instead of forcing us to use it.

1 ReplyHello again, Apologies for any confusion caused by this issue or our last response. The Special Surge event blocking progression of Guardian Ranks is not intended. We have flagged this with our designers and have confirmed that this is an unintended consequence of the Famine modifier not being able to be applied to the same activity as the Surge. Due to the setup of the event we are unable to quickly change that modifier to being selectable, however they are actively investigating if making this change to future, similar iterations of the event will be possible. Or if not, then they will pursue other mitigations to ensure that player progression is not blocked in the future.

11 RepliesLikelihood of Bungie doing that is near absolute 0, this'll be the same as what happened when Conquests were disabled and you'll just need to wait until next week when Famine is available again.

8 RepliesHello there, Thank you for reaching out. We understand you are unable to access the Famine modifier. We can imagine how this would cause concern if unexpected. However, we can confirm that this is intended due to the Special Surge being live. You should be able to use Famine again next week when the Surge ends.
