As a day one EOF player, I’d say get it on sale. On Xbox, it’s 30 percent off right now. The legendary campaign is super fun. Haven’t done the raid yet. Other than that, there’s not much to do. Even for new/returning players, the repetitiveness sinks in quickly. My buddy came back to the game after leaving post Forsaken; he enjoyed playing all the pinnacle missions, but everything else got pretty stale quickly for him. The power grind is the most unengagjng process the game has ever introduced. I personally just end up playing crucible. Ironically, it’s one of the better ways to level up, and it beats running the same solo ops 1000 times. Hope this helps.

Since Solstice is over then definitely “on sale”. I didn’t buy it immediately but a couple weeks after release I bought it after doing free-to-play for a couple weeks. I got used to the new armor but the grind is very slow. Solstice had the best weapons and armor.

I’d say sale. I don’t know what all the EoF adds. The campaign and a handful of weapons. 3 exotic armor pieces. A thin loot pool you can live without. 98% of the gameplay right now is doing things that have nothing to do with the EoF. Again, I don’t know 100% what the free to play looks like so there might be something I’m missing that makes EoF more worthwhile.
