Please remove timer from grandmaster fireteam opps.

If people want to use it for pre-made fireteams let it be an option that grants a better score but its very hard to even finish a match made grandmaster fireteam opp with all the negative mods and bullet sponge bosses when you take away our revives because we didn't have perfect timing it becomes almost impossible to finish. If one person dies, it begins and downward spiral that causes everyone to eventually die and your time was wasted because the majority of players cant solo a boss fight on grandmaster. This is more reason for people to never leave solo opps. Right now there is no point to run these activities if you may not even be able to finish and you get nothing for the time you spent trying.

  • Every activity I have tried on the portal has a timer. Timers are bungie's way of making sure you deserve the loot, just killing the final boss is not good enough anymore. Timers were fine for all the elite players prior to the portal. While us average player were told it was an us problem, to git gud, stop whining, deal with it or quit, we were the problem, not the timers. Now however this one of several posts I have read saying the GM timer is an issue. Timers are the problem, not the players. Timers do not make the game more fun or engaging. I feel for you, but no longer care if it gets fixed or not. Bungie has gone too far and I do not believe they will change direction enough to solve the major issues with the game. They just do not care if the game dies or not. They will continue to turn out mediocre content or lack there of until the game does in fact die.

    • This - this is why I am no longer logging in, plus the grind has become akin to what killed Firefall. It's borderline sadistic and unless you are a masochist paying for this kind of service is not somethiong you seek out. Honestly, I feel Bungie really needs to take a panel of 1000+ casual gamers and let them play in test servers for a minimum of 3 months before they release any new systems or content ... Let us help you make a game for us, not the people making money from the game. We are your bread and butter, we are your baseline consumer litmus, and we would love to really be able to give our true input directly to developers. This game currently has no counterpart in the looter shooter genre, Borderlands is close but Destiny 2 is different beast. While similar elements persist the game play and general flow are vastly different. Destiny 2 has potential still, but this reitteration isn't the direction your core fan base was really looking for as far as I can tell ...

      • Matchmade fireteam GMs are at -40 power with random modifiers further adding to the difficulty level. No self-revive further complicates. However, if you have a fireteam and customize, you can run -20 GMs with palatable modifiers for same grade projection and easily hit the timer. Rewards definitely need to be balanced. Makes no sense to run -40 GMs with sometimes ridiculous modifiers and no self-revive when you could've got the same reward in a third of the time in solo ops.

      • Some of those mission are long to begin with, and that’s without dozens of champions. Seeing that notice come up that all of your revives are gone (that we killed all those champions to get) is super frustrating.

        • My favorite part is them flooding the activity with champions, just to remove all your revives once the timer runs out. The perfect Bungie Troll lol

        • Agreed. The timer is ruining the runs. At least, remove the 0 revive tokens from time's end.

        • Add it to the list of stupid modifiers since EoF. Honestly I like EoF, it’s not perfect but that modifiers fest that we have in Matchmaking ops is bad.

        • Gms had always a timer. Amd the same wipe mechanic, but the timer pre eof Was 40 mins. This is fine. 15 min is far to short.

        • The Oracle Mission is -blam!- for timer and score. Gotten to the point where everybody just leaves immediately. I’ve only gotten pass the score threshold once and never again.

          • Yesterday I joined an MM on GM, and my team managed to get wiped at the first group, with 2 overload champs in one of those empire hunts. I ressed both, twice, and finally some dregg sniped me from dunno where, I died, and the mission failed. For real, whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be fired and spend their lives flipping burgers and not wasting people's time and money designing shitty video games. Even when you manage to complete these damn missions, you usually will not get a very high score, and the loot is pathetically scarce.
