Destiny account from xbox to steam
Hello, I am wondering how I can get my destiny 2 account from xbox onto steam to play on PC. When I go to the D2 login on my PC I have the option to wither sign in with steam or epic games, but not Microsoft. How can I get my xbox profile on PC?
Edit: inb4 “look it up” because I did and all 4 guides I found are outdated because the website changed.
Edit 2: why is it saying that expansion content will not transfer? I have all main expansions except for Edge of Fate do I have to buy them all again on my steam profile? What happens If a proceed without doing this?
Edit 3: ok so it looks like on the steam store the 2025 legacy collection, all content THAT I PAID FOR is $70?? And these are all standard editions, well I have the deluxe edition for Witch Queen, Lightfall and Final shape, what happens to my deluxe edition content if I get this $70 bundle full of stuff THAT I OWN but may be missing a few files, do I lose my exclusive items?

1 ReplyEdited by viiTactiiCZz: 8/20/2025 6:26:55 PMYou don't need cross-save if you're going to be going to the Xbox App for PC/Windows Store version of the game. If you're going to Steam or Epic, head to Bungie.net -> Settings -> Account Linking. Link the account there and make sure its 100% correct because any mistakes with linking the wrong account cannot be fixed. Once linked you'll have your Xbox and PC account on the same Bungie account, head to https://www.bungie.net/7/en/CrossSave and go through the progress ensuring you select the correct platform account at the point it wants you to decide which characters you want access to on all linked platforms. Final step of that is you confirming everything, and once confirmed cross-save is enabled and the characters will be available on the Steam/Epic account you linked. What happens If a proceed without doing this?[/quote] Expansions are platform licensed, and other platforms don't want to honor your purchases from other platforms. Reward passes and Dungeon keys are counted as in-game unlocks and are cross platform In the case of Xbox -> Xbox (PC) its due to Destiny 2 not being a PlayAnywhere title, so they're considered separate platforms

[/quote] Expansions (Forsaken pack /Shadow-keep/Beyond Light/30th Anniversary pack/Witch Queen/Lightfall/Final Shape/Year of Prophecy) do not transfer and must be purchased on each platform you wish to play them on. You will be able to access the free to play portions and any dungeon/pass content you may have purchased on those characters.

3 RepliesI switched, 2 years ago, from Xbox to PC. I have played Destiny since LAUNCH. I hate how far behind Xbox let themselves fall and I wanted to experience games better. So I made the switch, but I didn't anticipate MY DLC NOT TRANSFERRING. Please, DO THE RIGHT THING. Give me the licensing I have paid for. Switch it from Xbox and put it under steam for me. For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE have a heart. I want to play again. I will never own an XBOX ever again. I am not trying to cheat you guys. I believe you deserve to be paid for your hard work, but I've already paid for what I'm asking back. Help me out PLEASE. I will never ever bother you guys again.
