D2 is a one of a kind game. I've enjoyed playing it for years now. Have 261 solo GM clears. 20+ Flawless (more of a pve guy). The thing that has always sucked about D2 is that you have to do Homework to START to play the game. You have to powergrind and wait. BUT... It was never out of control. You could always count on getting a god roll no matter what your light level was. You could always access GM's about a month into the season. Armor was armor. It wasn't this ridiculous time gated bull... NOBODY WANTS TO WASTE THEIR TIME LOOKING FOR SOMETHING YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO EMOTE AT AND THEN SHOOT A THING AND THEN MOVE HERE AND THEN THERE AND THEN WASTE 100 HOURS RUNNING BASIC PATROL LEVEL ACTIVITIES OVER AND OVER AND OVER UNTIL YOU ARE ALLOWED TO ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME. BTW instead of just complaining, here are my solutions: 1. Unvault the old content. 8Terabytes goes for like 100 dollars nowadays. "we don't wanna make the game too big" is just a lie. some excuse. Stop it. We paid for the content. You just vault it? 2. Bring back warmind cells 3. Bring back GM NF's and make them available on day 1, and make them replayable. 4. Add tutorials for Raids. Believe it or not, most people suck at explaining raids. It's a chore to try and learn how to raid. 5. Stop with the tier 1-5 system. It's stupid. nobody wants tier 2, so stop clogging my vault. just make armor drop like it used to drop. It wasn't flawed. The system worked. 6. stop with the baby puzzles. Nobody likes them. NOBODY. There are a few people who will lie and say they like them, but they are liars and liars lie and enough already. 7. Go back to 0-100 Armor stats. Trials is now just "who has the best armor" and "ok i got a nade get ready to run in, ok i got another nade". Ridiculous. I have other suggestions, but you gotta refund me the money I spent on this latest expansion.
