On top of it being overly difficult for solos. It just makes for a slow long grind trying to do anything on mythic difficulty and no clue what you are supposed to be looking for, having to huddle in a corner trying to figure out what I’m supposed to be looking for in this area, just sucks

Find the tiny ledge that's smaller than your feet! Watch out, don't stand there, you'll get tossed! Navigate this maze completely in the dark! If there's something about Destiny that really gets under my skin, it's the puzzle solving and the platforming; I don't play a looter shooter FPS for the puzzle solving and the platforming, I play it for the looting and the shooting. Sometimes I love Destiny 2, sometimes I feel like I picked the wrong game. There's a reason I don't do Pinnacle runs, or Dungeons, or Raids, even though that's, like, half the content in the game, and it's because I find the platforming and puzzle solving tedious. Find the ledge to shoot the thing to run to the area to collect the widget to open the door to stand in the circle to get knocked into oblivion and start all over again. I dunno, maybe I'm the wrong kind of player, I just don't find that stuff enjoyable. I don't like spending twenty minutes trying to find a ledge that's smaller than my feet.

People have been saying this since like 2015 dawg

This has been a long-running side effect of Bungie wanting to make the game "watchable." There's really no reason we should have to experience the game through a streamer at all.
-
Word, I've said it so many times; a lot of things in this game would have been impossible to complete without the collected knowledge of the internet. Even events and such would have been possible to miss unless you knew about them in advance. And in addition to the hazey in-game info on what to do and where to go they'll throw us off through bugs and mission markers with a life of their own.

Would tell people on here but got told by toxic casuals to STFU so you are on your own bud, sorry

This old tortoise is glad that online tutorials and walkthrough exist…otherwise I might still be stuck on that rock in the Corrupted strike, trying to beat that boss! Or a thousand and one, other such quests. Shout-out to all my go-to sources of information! That is all. Ease Springs! 🫡

Been saying this since I bought D1 in middle school.
-
Since the beginning with D1 there have been so many convoluted quests, it’s bad game design in general, something to stretch playtime.

Edited by Jedi K47: 8/24/2025 7:40:41 AMHmm, I remember my first time playing Presage mission, not to mention collecting the stasis aspects & fragments....I was lost like a drop of water in the ocean 😩

Whether we have to look it up or not, its all so convoluted and unnecessary. The campaign was 80% garbage and 20% actually shooting. I straight hated it.

Destiny 2, the research game. Do you enjoy endless hours of pointless research? Then D2 is the game for you.

There's plenty of games that kinda need that
