49 runs of solo ops for 1 pinnacle
It just took me 49 runs of solo ops for 1 pinnacle to drop.
I have all slots at 450 except my heavy slot. If I don't get lucky and Zavalla has a heavy weapon as a weekly reward soon, it might take me hundreds or even over 1000 runs just to get that last 450 to drop in the correct slot.
I seriously can not find the right words to express how ridiculous this new system is.
No matter how the rewards get tweaked between solo ops, fireteam ops and pinnacle ops, this is by FAR the most BORING progression system conceivable.
It just BOGGLES the mind how this was green-lit and implemented at all.

We had weight-gate now it looks like we have pinnacle=gate. That is truly terrifying, won't be bothering my -blam!- once I hit 400, plenty of more worthy games to occupy my time.

l think it's time gated 1 maybe 2 a day . that's what l been seeing anyway . also found out it don't matter how hard l make it ,same happens. noticed pvp drops better in the slot you need. what's bad is bungie knows this stuff and allows it. if l worked for bungie l would sure get my resume out there.

Problem is you sunk an ungodly amount of playtime in to achieve it. You might hate it but Bungies metrics will mark it as a success. Worked as intended.

Dunno why you're torturing yourself with this grind when it's gonna get moved to the 500+ power in a couple weeks. Everything under 500 will be regular easy grinding then.

Why are you torturing yourself ? After Ash&Iron, you can get to 500 with the same ease you got to 400 You are wasting your time, all your hours of endless grinding will be meaningless, everyone will be 500 within a couple days

The current system is meant to keep us in the game as long as possible. For the money people the spread sheets show prolonged engagement. Destiny cannot last in this state.

Sorry about your bad luck man. But it is true this was broadcast, although we did not fully understand it. Mainly because Bungie failed to fully disclose how bad it was going to be. I saw this coming and did not purchase the expansion, and now I am glad I waited. Hope you get that lucky drop!

Do you have the Clan buff and rank 9 buff? I ask this because with constant testing I get one every 20 runs.
