We've been working through player feedback from the previous TWID and reassessing our announced rewards updates for the Portal. We will be reverting the following changes which were planned for Destiny 2 Update 9.1.0:

Everything out of their mouths sounds so corporate. Not once did they admit fault right there. Hopefully the TWAB has something further to say about it in more detail. This is by no means a win. Just a momentary sigh of relief.
-
So is this a "W" for Bungie or are we back to the minimum expectation? They aren't making it worse, but they aren't making it better either.
-
I mean did they read their own words???? Planned reductions to Power earned for a given grade within Solo Ops will be reverted Planned reductions of Engrams earned in Encore, Starcrossed, and Whisper will be reverted how did those even get past the decision makers? Kill all fun, kill all progress. F the community, we already have their money. Lets kill their reason to play. Make it even harder for everyone for no reason. the grind from 400 - 450 is unnecessarily insane already. Hearing their idiotic ideas ( which they are now back tracking on, maybe) makes me not even want to play ash and iron.
-
The issue is that this just means they are going to hold the status as it is, rather than worsen the drop rate/power value which was the proposal. This does not mean that it will improve, which it kind of needs to. I know MANY players who are not even 400 yet, or just barely getting there now, and with A&I 2 weeks away are not looking forward to just continuing the grind. I personally got to 400 relatively quickly, then kind of stopped grinding. I wasnt pressed with getting 450, I just farmed what I wanted to farm for the loot, and helped my buddies out when they needed it. Kind of, enjoying the rest stage if you can say that. I was lucky to have a lot of free time during week 2 of the expansion, but many of my friends feel that they have nothing but grind in the game at the moment, and cant really play what they want for fun because they still are not up to the power level that they need to be. Matchmade activities NEED to be more rewarding than solo/custom ops. They take longer, and are more difficult than they need to be... but most players who use them are not the players who optimize for the grind and suffer for it. Me personally, I ran many Fireteam Ops when I needed a focused drop, but ran solo with custom mods tailored to my kit and made easy work of it. Me running solo is faster than running the matchmade version by a considerable margin most of the time, and I can be sure to get an A grade on it, which is not necessarily true for the matchmade version. Matchmade Ops should have bonus power drops in comparison to the custom.

Does nothing. They need to kill the gear resets or nobody is ever returning who left.
-
Most of Bungie's development time has been spent reverting stupid decisions. I feel sorry for the low level employees who have to put up with such poor leadership.
-
Nice.More importantly, when is The Reckoning coming to the Portal?
-
Don't be happy yet, they'll find a way to nerf it one way or the other
-
Amazing. Everyone should applaud and buy more Everworse now.
-
A very small first step…now to remove the misery from power grind
-
They are fixing nothing just reversing their planned nerf. Good to see but they need to fix the grind.
-
Now, if they would only give us new stuff to play! 😂
-
So; we're essentially back to the day before that aweful TWID- hope those next steps aren't some small baby steps.
-
So what? This action, which is actually just inaction changes nothing with massive -blam- pile that is Destiny 2.
-
Who cares man. They wrecked the entire experience on all fronts to save a few bucks.
-
I'm glad they listened, I just wish folks didn't have to yell so loudly. You know the old joke "A camel is a horse made by committee?" usually I think that's true, but in this case it might be wise for Bungie/Sony to consult the community about changes rather than just announcing changes. "How would you feel about this? What about that?" I'm not saying *we* should be the developers, but it might save the actual developers some grief.
-
This changes nothing in all honesty, without major fixes or complete reversal of direction instead of what they have been doing for over a year now. I love this game but I have zero trust in Bungie at this point and personally I will wait for actions instead of words.

Yes, I applaud them for not making another bonehead move. Sometimes it feels like Bungie wants to see the Destiny community pissed Maybe they had a change of heart after they saw what happened to the latest -blam!- Barrel CEO
