You are reverting the progression nerfs based on player feed back, GOOD MOVE!
you also say this:
"We want all activities in the Portal, Solo or Fireteam based, to feel rewarding. We want our activities to contribute understandable and meaningful progress to your climb in Power."
You want us player to FEEL rewarded for our efforts. Your not there yet!
You want us to have understandable and meaningful progress in our power climb?
Then go into detail about why the grade meter says I will get a B and even making time I only get a C grade?
Ditch the whole grade system, eliminate the whole timer system!!!
If you complete the activity you should get the reward! This is the plain and simple way it should be, that is understandable, easy, predicable and fair. If Joe snuff the elite player can do it in 5 minutes but I take 8 minutes and 5 seconds, who cares, we both did the run and killed the final boss. What and earth should timers have to do with the reward. This system is not better than the last system you claimed game players agency, if I don't play the hardest level and select all the hard options, and beat the timer, I do not get a reward. That is just elitist game design. It is design to exclude average players from rewards.
I finished a solo ops run with 5 seconds left on the timer, but it kept counting down even counting past when the chest appeared and dropped loot, then said I did not make the timer. What kind of BS is that?
YOU have a long way to go to make the game FELL rewarding and have meaningful and understandable power progression.

“We want Destiny to be a game where you want to hop in with friends to level, rather than declining an invite to spend time in a solo activity for the sake of progression.” -Bungie Why? Who are you to tell people how to play? Many people rather play solo. For numerous reasons. Why do you care? Why are you trying to force people to do something they clearly don’t want to do? Stop micromanaging how people play the damn game already. Bungie is clearly incapable of learning from mistakes.

Exactly, I’ve done several master level runs today and ensured the loot reward would be uk to 3 bonus drops and a 375 drop…. Every time I got no bonus and one below at 374. What a waste of two hours.

Edited by Zypher: 8/29/2025 7:45:33 PM100% agree. The score system is pointless and only hurts gameplay. Instead of just focusing on having fun in the activity you have to race against a clock or make sure to hit a certain score. The fact that the timer continues to count down after you kill the boss or when a chest is spawning/opening is actually hilarious to me. I literally laugh out loud every time i do Kells Fall mid chest where you have to wait almost a minute and a half for the chest to spawn and then drop its loot in an activity you get graded on speed.

"We want Destiny to be a game where you want to hop in with friends to level, rather than declining an invite to spend time in a solo activity for the sake of progression." they've made all my friends leave with the poor execution of each new release

We as a community can try to give feedback until we see blue in the face and still BungLe will not do anything that we suggest. EVER! They screw poop up and when the backlash reaches critical mass they backtrack their poop and all the fanbois cry out of sheer joy because they think they got " listened too". DON'T GIVE US POOP TO BEGIN WITH!!! Anyway... nothing we say will make a poop of difference. NONE!! BungLe are TONE DEAF.... no .... not Tone... just DEAF!! Dumb and Blind too ngl.

If they dont kill the Renegades gear reset, they'll probably lose another 30% of the active remaining playerbase. Just a guess.

Don't agree with this at all. The difficulty doesn't really get any more difficult the higher you go. The power delta pretty much stays the same if you aim for B+ score all the time and get A with the objective completion. The system currently in place rewards players who dare put on more modifiers, granting better rewards thus a bit faster power climb. It sure looks like you need to improve your gameplay because I don't believe Solo Ops should take you near as much time as the timer allows for.

Missed the point. Since you mentioned power levels. You have general XP, light levels, armor levels, weapon levels, vendors XP, and others I forget. Then you have limiting based on all those and others. Also XP boosters. Some XP is meaningless and some impossible to predict. How about fixing this? Some simplification would do Destiny good. The TWAB shows a very basic two week review for tweaking. It shows a lack of in depth analysis and that is the problem.
-
I think a lot of people are overlooking one the most important sentences in the TWID: Our current approach is to bring options up and make sure they feel good before we look at the “problem children.” So we're just going to go through this all over again at some point? After everything the community has said this past week, you still feel like nerfing stuff should take priority? Bungie, you really need to start playing your own game. Because I've never seen developers be this oblivious as to what goes on in their own game.

Get a higher number so you can run harder content to get higher tier armor so you can be at a -60/70ish setting so you are weaker than you were before. The grind to the top should result in HULK Smash not haha how cute an undead zombie with a gun
-
If you complete the activity you should get the reward! This is the plain and simple way it should be,
Is this not how it works currently? You only don't get rewarded bonus drops for not meeting a score threshhold. The game explicitly informs you of the reward you get based on your score.
-
Remove power leveling and have tiers be restricted to difficult content with a rare drop rate on easier content with escalating chances so casuals are rewarded in time at a slower pace but vets and those with game knowledge can speed through to get the better gear incentivizing growth. No treadmills. Grinding for gear should be the first step then having fun with what you earn.

Couldn't agree more! This scoring system is a complete mystery to me, especially when it comes to fireteams, if I make an lfg post advertising "master, grade A, easy mods" it all changes when others join and when I start tye activity I end up with "master, grade b, hard mods" to get even close to what I offered.
