Onslaught is unplayable rn it’s not like he teammates fault but it’s bungie you either need to upgrade the orbs to give more hp to the machine or give us more points to upgrade cause all the ads spawning is to quick and they teleport to middle most and it’s the explosive shanks and they teleport to middle boom boom explode

Yep it’s utter garbage now . Another formerly great game mode made useless and entirely unenjoyable . I’m actually getting pretty angry about how much of the game is not worth my time or frustration . Unmitigated disaster .

The teleporting of the cabal in nearly every activity in the game is pure garbage by Bungie they have lost control of alot of things

The game is just a horror show. They have no idea what they are making anymore. Just slapping modifiers all over stuff, adding massive levels of grind and calling it content. Netease have released a better destiny expansion than Bungie. On mobile phones FFS.

The teleporting is insanity. They need to delete onslaught salvation and just give us the original one. It was "mostly" functional and fun.

Bungie overturned a lot of activities. It feels like they were so afraid of broken builds with the new stats system that they cranked everything to 11 with modifiers. Last Onslaught I ran I used a Strand Titan with Vexcalibur, that thing is unkillable and will shred champions even at -30, and yet it took us 3 being away from the thingy, at full health, for 20s to kill a boss and it got wiped because enemies starting appearing a right next to it. Again the activity itself is no more challenging than the OG 50 waves onslaught, but the slew of random modifiers make it a s*** show.

We went from taken to being able to teleport to every enemy and boss. They ran out of ideas. They just slapped random shii to ads and bosses

Yeah… it’s kinda trash now. I don’t know what they did exactly - my guess is something to do with converting it to the new combatant power system - but it’s been basically impossible to get done matchmade.

They made it harder and removed the weapons for no reason. Also it is locked to 30 waves.

Agree completely, it's miserable. GM is pretty much unplayable unless you go in with a fireteam that is on comms and builds that suppress and slow everything.

Are you talking about GM mode? I have done master and so long as you have the correct loadout, got through it ok.

They turned everything up to 11 is what they did. I was in a fireteam, all 400+ and it was ridiculous. Halfway through the first level and we're not killing stuff quick enough. There's some brutal buffs for enemies like shielded wizards blasting you from halfway down the street while a Tormentor is tormenting you and your fireteam. Screebs are appearing from nowhere and you've got that blast debuff thing where if your shields break, you're basically -blam!- toast. I got behind the wizards, killed them as my team mates finished off the Tormentor then immediately two yellow bar Shriekers spawn, one right above my head. I go to slip round a corner but too late, shield toast and a 15 second timer. I see my team mate trying to get to me but his shield is gone too so he can barely get to me. I see about 20-20 trash mobs smashing the crap out of the thing in the middle. It was a total nonsense from start to finish and I'm not even going to bother with it again.

The teleporting is obnoxious and should be fixed. But it has always existed in the mode. I think the real issue is that the reward to time ratio is the worst out of any activity besides the raid possibly. Aside from killing the bosses faster you couldn’t speed up the activity by any meaningful amount even if you tried. So it is a 40-60 minute activity depending on your teams damage potential. And at best you get 3 rewards. 3 bungie? That is an engram once every 13 mins approximately if you are finishing at 40 mins every time with no failures ever. It should be at least 6. I love the activity, I think it’s the best game mode they have ever had possibly. Simple but challenging. Increased difficulty I don’t even mind either. But it has to be worth it in some regards. Previously for going to round 50 and beating the entire thing you got at least one ascendant alloy, enhancement prisms, and at least one piece of activity exclusive loot every 10 waves. Now we get 3 pieces of generic loot and some mostly worthless materials.

It felt like classic Onslaught had a ramp up period, low level enemies at the beginning to let players accrue a bunch of Resources for building turrets and dummies and whatnot, but the new Onslaught starts off at a pretty high difficulty, lots of sweat even in early rounds.

i tried to solo widows court to get the data pads on normal difficulty (10 power) and lasted 4 rounds before the machine was destroyed.

seems they changed enemy behavior toward the ADU. Most enemies, including exploders, now head straight to it and completely ignore players. I don't recall it being this way before, but it was much more manageable either way.

Yeah, I ran one a week or so back and first time through we got destroyed, luckily everyone stuck at it and we got it done the second time but it was frantic, I was sweating by the end.🥵
