If you can't seem to activate the exotic perk on the axe, turn off you "auto melee" setting. Settings>Gameplay>Full-Auto Melee and if bungie does read this, same thing with Barrow Dyad. Full-Auto Fire setting screws with that one too. Edit: upon further extensive usage,The ONLY way I can seem to get it to activate is by hitting and holding my light attack AND then hitting and holding my heavy. I cannot figure out how or why it's doing this. It's only slightly annoying and sometimes wastes a little bit of ammo, but still manageable. Though I would like to know why this is happening to me. Is there anyone that can relay to me with their keyboard? Maps are for melee attacks? I can confirm that auto melee IS blocking it from being activated. and i assume its because of how i am having to activate this perk. ive been digging in the keymap file and cannot figure out what i am missing or have mapped wrong. Edit 2: its rooted to the alternate weapon action key being hardcoded to "R" which is also the key i have for heavy attacks. my only option is to rebind my heavy attack which completely throws off my playstyle and my keymapping. WHY IS THIS KEY HARDCODED FOR KEYBOARD USERS ONLY???
