I took a break for a few weeks, after a month of mindlessly grinding in the previous season to reach 450. And it’s nice to once again play again in which I have thousands of hours of play time. I really do love this game. Perhaps I am just too attached to the old way of doing things. I enjoy the new armor and the progressions that allow us to get better armor as we play more difficult content. That said, I do not understand the reward system. I am 454. I played Trials and Crucible Arms where I consistently received T5 drops after each match, but when I play Fireteam Ops, Solo Ops, or Pinnacle Ops, I receive T4 and below. Consistently. It’s a bit disappointing. Also, there is no longer incentive to play all manner of activities in D2. I like the way the Portal offers different activities, including subsets of dungeons, some as match made, but it gets stale when I play for an hour or two. I’m not sure how to make D2 fresh again, but maybe start with guaranteed +2-5 drops from content across the game, especially when we start hitting the soft and hard caps. Maybe feature a PvE activity each week that offers tempting rewards. Encourage us to replay some of the stories. Just some thoughts. But I am worried that Destiny is losing the things that make it unique and fun to play. Edit: fyi I get As in all my PvE activities, but still no joy for T5 drops. For PvP, it doesn’t seem to matter what grade I get, still getting T5 drops.
