As of tomorrow's patch the Portal is going to be almost completely overhauled, the difficulty scaling improved, the leveling process improved; Warlocks have seen great changes to our buddy system; unpopular Exotic reworks have been rolled back; Renegades is letting us keep our Light levels and leaving the cap at 550; Bungie is addressing a lot of the pain points of Edge of Fate, a lot of the player frustrations we've brought up, but not a lot of people know about them. Bungie has made improvements to the game, but -blam!- TWABs? And there aren't enough people in-game at the moment to notice the changes. People think (understandably) that the Portal et al. are all in the same sad state they were at launch; people think there's no reason to come back because they think nothing has meaningfully changed. Bungie needs to advertise the fact that they're adjusting difficulty scaling, and added new activities to the Portal, and they're speeding up the leveling process, and letting us keep our Light levels. It's not enough to release this information in a TAWB, nobody is screenshotting patch notes and sharing them on Twitter, y'know? The game is in a better state today than it was when Edge of Fate launched, but people don't know that. Players aren't coming back because they think the pain points aren't being addressed, but a lot of the pain points [i]are[/i] being addressed, and it would be good for Bungie to advertise that fact.
