Destiny 2

Discuss all things Destiny 2.

Based on current realities, my advice is to abandon Marathon completely, reinvest into Destiny, and follow Rising's lessons to learn how to finally make a good game.

I'm not going to post a wall of text making detailed, well reasoned arguments no one will read. So bullet points. 1. Marathon, an extraction pvp shooter, is stillborn. Fact, not opinion. Stolen artwork used to fuel a game design concept that is already stale and collapsing. If Marathon had launched on time, or even earlier than expected, at this point steam would be issuing refunds and the game would have had its servers unplugged for months by now. It's dead on arrival, let it go. 2. Rather you make a destiny 3 or not, triple down into hiring decent writers and animators, stop trying to excrete out content that a ten year old would say it was corny and silly if it showed up in a GI Joe cartoon. Treat Destiny as if it is all or nothing because at this point it is. 3. Destiny Rising has taken 10 years of hundreds of thousands of fans telling you, with words, what they want in a game, and given it to them. And will you look at that? It's hugely popular and more successful than Destiny 2 has been in years. Just by giving players the things they've been asking for. 4. IF YOU CAN FIND GROUNDS... Sue the Bungie executive staff for deliberate sabotage of their product. Take back the money that and leave them blacklisted from the industry. Significant evidence exists they were acting with malicious intents, if nothing else make them spend all the money they stole from the company and its employees fighting to keep a penny out of every dollar the embezzled. There is no Marathon. Worry about making Destiny a viable platform again instead of trying to keep a game on life support when its built off stolen assets and has no idea who its target demographic is.

  • It's always surprising to me that people are unaware of Jason. If anything, he's the reason why Bungie keeps splitting focus on development. Pulling resources and staff from their cash cow to fund a passion project that is already DoA. All because Jason can't stick to one project. He has a history of doing this at Bungie since its inception with Alex.
