Hello, Guardians!
English isn’t my first language, but I just joined an public fireteam and cleared the final boss of Salvation’s Edge!
I started playing Destiny 2 because I love bows, and Non-Denouement was the last missing piece for me.
But to get it, I had to complete one of the hardest raids—Salvation’s Edge.
At first, I thought about giving up.
But since it can drop from the 1st and 2nd encounters, they seemed a bit easier,
so I went into the raid alone to explore the map and study how it works.
My biggest challenge wasn’t the mechanics—it was English.
I could understand some listening, but my speaking was about kindergarten level lol.
Still, I gathered my courage and joined an public fireteam.
I told them my English wasn’t great, and everyone was really kind.
After some struggles, we cleared the 1st and 2nd encounters.
I tried to speak only when needed because half my brain was raiding and the other half was translating English in real-time. 😂
Somehow, we reached the 3rd encounter.
I hadn’t studied past that, so I planned to leave after that point—but thanks to what I learned about plates and res mechanics, and with the help of my teammates, we made it through.
I still have no idea what the hell was going on in the 4th encounter lol. 🤣
The final boss actually felt easier—though all I did was clear mobs.
Honestly, I never expected to clear the whole raid, but with great teammates, we did it.
I wanted to say thank you properly, but I didn’t know how to express it in English at the time.
So here it is now:
Verdex – first-time raider like me, a fast learner and a kind teammate
Slime – the super kind Sherpa who guided me from the 1st encounter
Salad – patiently explained every single mechanic like a teacher
Dreamer – my -blam!- buddy during the 2nd encounter
Thank you all. You made this a wonderful memory for me.
To anyone reading this whose first language isn’t English—study, be confident, and give it a try!
And guess what? I finally got Non-Denouement! 🎉

Congrats mate. Well done. It’s definitely one of the tough one raids. Enjoy the bow.
