Guardians remember who we are

Brothers and sisters of the Light, hear me as one of you. One who has walked among the stars and seen both the best and the worst of what we are. We are the Destiny community. A mosaic of stories, clans, and shared dreams. We are the ones who stay up late to finish a raid. The ones who help a newcomer understand how an exotic works. The ones who cry at a well-written line of dialogue, who laugh in a Crucible match, who feel awe when the Tower glows with hope. But lately, something has broken. We’ve allowed hatred to creep in among us. Frustration has turned to poison. Feedback has become insult. The game that should unite us has become a battlefield between ourselves. We’ve forgotten that behind every username is a person. That behind every patch is a team that works, that fails, that tries. That behind every streamer, every dev, every player, is someone who loves this world as much as we do. Toxicity is not strength. It’s not passion. It’s weakness disguised as volume. So I ask you: remember who we are. We are Guardians. We are the ones who rise again. Who fight together. Who protect, not destroy. Who build clans, not barricades. Who welcome, not exclude. If we want Destiny to stay alive, we must be better. We must choose kindness, even when it’s hard. We must defend those who are attacked. We must speak with respect, even when we criticize. Because the true enemy is not just the Witness. It’s the hatred that divides us. I choose the Light. And you?

  • Spoken like someone who is a true believer that some toxic players are the blame for the current state of the game rather than the development team. Players did not make the game harder Players did not make the long, stupid slog of a grind to 550 Players did not make the game more and more build dependant Players do not keep adding more perks to an already overwhelming cornucopia of worthless options Players did make the RNG for drops in dungeons and raids and just the world this bad No sir the development team, the corporate leaders, and Bungie as a whole is to blame. You want to know why I bash bungie's decisions, because they lie, mislead and fail to effectively communicate with the bulk of their player base. They have driven away the casual players and now they are suffering, player count, financially and in every way you can count. Bungie has earned the negative criticism they get. Call it toxic, I call it justified. They want somehting different than change up the direction of the game, tell the truth, make some positive changes. Hundreds have been suggested on here, reddit and X, bungie ignores them all.
