After the changes to allow buddies to scale with grenade Stat was implemented I and many other warlocks I'm sure are grateful. That was a great change to add some power back to our class that we have been sorely lacking. That said I've used all the buddies at this point extensively and there is one buddy that is underperforming by a large margin compared to the others and that is the void souls buddies.
Void souls with briarbinds is not on par with the other two buddies or even close for that matter. Even with briar binds equipped and 200 grenade Stat they simply don't do enough damage. As such I have some suggestions that I think would vastly improve them. One an out right damage buff is the most obvious. However I don't really think that alone is enough. I believe a tick rate buff coupled with a 50% damage buff would fix the issue.
I also thought that if you don't want to give damage buff because of briarbinds scaling then allowing briarbinds to also -blam!- suppress to void souls coupled with a slow and tick rate buff would be even better honestly. A big problem with void souls is that enemies just walk outside of their range especially the fallen with their teleportation.
 Giving them a slow would ensure the void souls actually have time to do some damage coupled with a faster tick rate. Giving them the ability to suppress as well would add more utility while simultaneously giving void more access to that particular void debuff that imo we don't have enough access to outside of the suppress grenade.
Void unlike the other subclasses has no easy access to champion stun for overload suppression only comes from the suppress grenade so it would give void warlock easier access to one of its unique debuff. Void souls also need to have their tracking fixed and probably a speed boost. If an enemy dies before the soul gets to them it just flys off in a random direction often times to inaccessbile areas of the map making them unretrievable. They also travel at a very slow pace and because of it enemies tend to die before they get to them.

	14 RepliesThe point of it is support, not offense. It acts as a short range tether that poisons while it's spawned and gives you nade+melee or health back depending on rift type. The other light buddies are pure offense.
