Bungie is killing Destiny 2 hoping you'll play Marathon
I got bad news for you Bungie, if your flag ship game is bugged and unplayable. I doubt anyone is going to spend money on any of your other games.

6 RepliesMarathon is not targeting the D2 crowd. That would make no sense to cannibalize your own player base. They said it in the Vidoc, Marathon is going after the more hardcore, challenge oriented, PvP players. As much as I love the aesthetic I already know I won’t be touching that game because that’s not the same.

Bungie cancelled Project Payback (Destiny 3 pre-Alpha test kit) to make Marathon. May it forever burn in the annals of obscurity. As for Destiny 3, I absolutely do not want Bungie to make it. Sony needs to hand the reins of Destiny 3 to a more worthy developer, Sony Santa Monica or even Virtuous Studios can do a better job.

Very poor timing, lol. Currently enjoying grinding Paladin in Diablo 4 while waiting for Iron Banner to come back so I can finally get the new armor to make a Paladin in D2.

3 RepliesNo they're just killing their own game for the sake of making streamers happy because it was their idea to make artificial difficulties it was their idea to add a feat system in the Desert raid and then apply it to equilibrium. Only differences in the raid this system makes sense because it actually improves your rewards whereas in the dungeon it feels like a big f****** waste of time...

Not many Destiny PvP players will touch marathon is my guess, just through how they treated PvP in this game for years then expect people to buy their PvP only game? It’s an insane sales pitch at the very least

Which is funny because Extraction shooters are lame as hell lmao, arc raiders especially, that game was meant to be so good and then they scrapped the years of work and dev assets and replaced everything with PvP and AI generated slop.

3 RepliesThey said in several interviews that Marathon was not for D2 players - quite arrogantly at times - so D2s current state comes down to either them not wanting to do it anymore or a result of all competent programmers bring put on Marathon because they incorrectly assumed those left on D2 could at the very least run maintenance. Whatever the reason the damage is done and they refuse to accept that almost every change was wrong. That and their refusal to do what actually needs to be done for this property to have a future.
