Why do we accept updates in gaming?
It’s like someone selling you a brand new broken product and then telling you they’ll fix it later??? I bet no one would buy a brand new car unable to be driven off a lot because it requires an update

I expect a car to be a finished product, but even then it will still need maintenance and repairs eventually. A live service game is not a finished product - it’s expected to evolve over time. The level of “finish” is a bit more uncertain. I guess everyone chooses what they accept when they make their purchase.
