Are these events for players that play like 10 mins a day? After the first few days I have it all. I never cared for the dawning events. I thought the baking cookies thing was ridiculous and the rewards are insanely wasteful. How many of Mistral Lift or the Fimbulwinter Stitch have I dismantled at this point, it has to be in the multiple hundreds a this point.
Right now I'm sitting on something like 300 unopened gifts and they are just going to be full of junk I don't need.
The real thing I need are prisms and cores. I dont need any glimmer from dismantling things either. who the hell runs out of glimmer.
And Wild Anthem gear is garbage.

The real Dawning end game is farming BD to buy all the previous armor. I bought 5 different sets this year.

like most events events are for ultra casual players

It really does suck that the winter event is just all about baking cookies. Nothing else. Sure we got a snowball fight pvp mode, but what about pve ? Nothing. No unique missions not even reskinned ones either with snow all over it. They couldn't even be asked to place these snowball spawners this year. Would have been awesome if we got some snowball launcher guns that we could use in some portal activities that would just launch snowballs that dealt a lot of damage and froze everything in sight. Fun and chaotic but it would only last for 3 weeks, so it wouldn't "Mess" with the "Balancing" of the game. No just do what you normally do but bake some cookies on the side. You would be forgiven if you didn't know that there was an event on.

Liken everything else, people who play other games. And a lot of them are not coming back. Everything Bungie does is a desperate attempt to get people to log in for a few hours and be pleased so they don't forget about the game. But it is going to kill the game

1 Replyits for people who enjoy the portal

I find them inoffensive and until this particular Dawning, they were great for farming Bright Dust.
