The fight with Disciple of Harrow is so dumb and annoying. I haven’t finished it yet BTW as of this writing. The reason I say this is the last part where his shield goes up; the puzzle is not well thought of as far as giving players a good hint of how to move forward. The previous encounter was “interesting” but eventually I caught on as I tried for balance. The text really helped when I got stuck.
The fight with Harrow just tossed what I had just learned out the window. Maybe I didn’t fully understand the balance encounter to its fullest but it was dummy proof enough for me to complete it. I stayed half an hour on the last encounter till I assumed it was bugged and I was locked out so I quit the mission thinking it would have a checkpoint. Nope. Soon as I saw the beginning I turned it off. F that BS. I’m already pissed this mission is taking so dame long. It was actually really cool but the way the mission walks the player in the last encounter, or lack of, really destroyed the experience. From fun cool new experiences to total frustration and destroying interest in the game.
Be careful Bungie. It’s things like this that will keep you in the downward line you already are. I suggest next time don’t give players a dungeon/raid puzzle to complete a campaign mission or a mission that’s part of the main storyline. WTF man. I just want to experience the kool story and have fun. Even on legendary. Stop wasting our investment in you and the game. Start figuring out how you are going to give us the experience we want without breaking the game or going too far on either side.
I went ahead and looked up a YouTube video to solve what I thought was a lock out of finishing the encounter only to see it was intentional to be that annoying. Maybe I’ll cool down and try again but man that was a bad ending to my experience when it started out really good.

1 ReplyI'm guessing you didn't know about the switch to change out the taken and cabal enemies so you can make the dark orbs?
