Activating Transcendence while toggled to your Renegade Ability selection mode gives your first/leftmost ability a free charge if it's depleted. If the ability has at least one charge remaining, activating Transcendence will visually add a "phantom" charge to the ability's charge stack on the bottom left, indicating you have two charges. Expending the charge will remove the "phantom" charge, correctly depleting the whole stack. If you have two or more charges on the ability, activating Transcendence will visually add the "phantom" charge to the charge stack. After expending a charge, the "phantom" charge will be removed, leaving the correct number of charges available. The associated right side text doesn't update to reflect gaining a charge, only the visual charge stack indicator on the bottom left updates.
