as a kid of 14 years old in 2014 i bought Destiny 1 in the store with my mothers premission because the game was 16+. after a week i didnt regreted my purchase with my hard earned money. i have played countless hours, played countless raid, spend so much time in pvp and later trials of osiris (mostly helping others) and dont forget the original nightfalls. i loved this game and was addicted to it. i still have played almost every dlc or season from launch (at school i said i was sick with a lanch and with work i took days off) and what i can say is that destiny lost its identity and charm. the game that was once difficult in everyway possible.... VOG was weeks difficult, u needed 6 good players with some good guns to beat it in 2 hours. in trials u needed 2 crazy good people to carry 1 person to the light house (i was in the top 5000 players in pvp). and lets not forget the Nightfall! yea it was only called nightfall no bullshit "master" "legend" or whatever... it was called a nightfall it had 5 modifiers and that -blam!- was hard. 4 of those modifiers rotated and sometimes they were so against u it was almost unbeatable. and yes sorry for some people that couldnt play everything. Destiny was hard back in the day but at least my cummunity tried to help each and everyone equally and as much as possible! so everyone had has as much fun as they could have. It was a time and place where everyone was welcome and could live in this universe without the stress and stuff from ur normal life. Yes the game had back the some quest for legendary's and exotics but most of them u had to farm because that -blam!- was RNG. and everybody complained u needed to farm and hated the RNG but i think if we all look back, RNG was the reason why we kept playing! We loved that we had something to grind/look forward to and as humans we always want to complain about something so it was RNGjezus. But then when u got that god role or that exotic (gjallerhorn) it was the best day of the month! That dopamine hit... I never got that in todays Destiny 2.... Last time i got it was for Lingering dread from the dungeon for 1 very specific role that i farmed a lot (i think 50-60hours first encounter). Fast forward.... i miss the RNG... i miss the Challange.... Yes we got verry powerfull and i like the builds system, but the single enemy challange from destiny 1 is missing... where 1 golbin or fallen could wipe ur whole team, captains where scary back then! i miss the chase.... i miss the community.... i miss that bungie was bungie.... and then i mean the old bungie that had gamers in their studio that loved their game and their community! and im sorry if i offended some off the staf because Destiny feels like a dead horse that they are trying to keep alive for the income and not for the fanbase. Back then Destiny felt like a game maybe gamer that love to do what they where doing creating something special and memerable!.... I think if u can bring the challange, RNG and the chase back to Destiny 2. Give us some really good reasons to play the raids dungeons and trials, heck even trow the seasonal stuff in there too. To chase stuff because RNG is a B*****.... i hate the current Destiny 2 too much menu's! the portal is defenitly not easier! its so much more confusing, remove all that -blam!-! All we need is the planets, a bounty sector, a quest tab, inventory, cosmetics, ur collection, settings (ofc) and ur beloved eververse (leave the season -blam!- also here). Then ur done, nothing complicated so the gamers can just play the game instead of playing menu navigator. i stayed for the story with the witness it was good, and im happy i got the chance to see this 10 year journey. Because i know and heard story's that people couldn't live to see the whole story and knowing that i cant complain about my health for sure. im 26 now (still single sadly haha) but i wish i quited destiny after the witness ending. Too bad i have too much nostalgic for this game and there is also no other game that feels and plays like destiny i hope it can ever come back to its former glory because i will always come back to check it out and hope it will be beter that time... sorry for the rant or the jumping from stuff to stuff, i just wanted to vent somewhere because the love for this game is still there and it hurts. i hope someone at bungie sees this and maybe took a note or 2 (especially the portal trash). to everyone else that is still here, stay strong, take care, u are not alone! eye's up guardian!
