The current cap is way too low. A single Tier-5 armor piece uses a huge number of Enhancement Prisms, faster than any other material.

Allow dismantling of Ascendant Shards down to 5 prisms as well. Ive been maxed on Ascendant shards since EoF came out, but always at zero for prisms.

I wish there wasn't a cap on any of our materials, but live service games put caps on materials because they want to counter natural player behavior that reduces grind time, such as building huge stashes of mats that trivialize future grinds it's also hard to balance a materials economy between no-lifers and casual players without caps

Edited by Meat Fountain: 4/2/2026 4:23:17 AMI agree that arbitrary caps are silly but how are you hitting the cap in the first place? Using shards so they don't overflow means I always have to buy prisms.

lol d2! It’s the only game I have ever played where I have to delete resources to make room for more of the same?!

2 RepliesI know there is a cap limit due to system memory and whatnot but when there's other items with much higher stack counts It makes no sense that the "harder" to get items Don't stack much higher... I end up with so many cores ciphers prisms shards that I don't know what to do with and they end up getting wasted... But when I do need to use them I don't have enough It's stupid cuz if I had all the ones that got wasted I wouldn't need to go farm for more I'd already have them It's aggravating it's the same thing a lot of other games do limit your inventory to force gameplay they create the problem to sell you the solution and then they wonder why people get mad

there is legit no actual reason to have any cap on any currency; it makes zero logical sense. The game forces me to intentionally lose currency in order to accept currency so I can complete a step.

Remove ALL inventory caps

Did anyone pulled epic April fools jokes today

Every material should move to a different "tab", as they did with "unstable cores". The cap on those was around the hundreds of thousands, without taking any inventory space. Every material should be treated like that and have its cap increased at least tenfold. This game is so flawed in so many basic things that I can't believe how it survived for so long.

Agreed. While they're at it, I need them to reduce glimmer costs for upgrades. Literally cannot hold my glimmer because infusions are literally 5k-10k a pop......
