  • Hello there, Thank you for reaching out. The “Contacting Destiny servers” message means your connection to Destiny’s servers is struggling somewhere between your device, your router, and your ISP. Try these steps in order: Simplify your connection Use a wired (Ethernet) connection if you can. Quit any other bandwidth-heavy apps while you play (video streaming, large downloads, other games). Restart equipment Fully power cycle your router/modem (unplug for 30–60 seconds, plug back in). Restart your console/PC afterward. Refresh the game install Console: Clear your console’s cache (see Bungie’s cache guide from the help site). PC (Steam/Epic/MS Store): Run “verify integrity of game files” in your launcher. Apply Bungie’s network tuning Follow the official Network Troubleshooting Guide for Destiny: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496531-Network-Troubleshooting-Guide If it keeps happening, go through: Advanced networking (UPnP, port forwarding, NAT types): https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496751-Advanced-Troubleshooting-UPnP-Port-Forwarding-and-NAT-Types Improving latency & packet loss: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049024092-Optimizing-Connections-Improving-Latency-and-Packet-Loss
