ERROR CODE WEASEL

I've been trying for the past 2 days to fix this code by watching countless videos and I've tried networking solutions and things on those lines and I have a ethernet cable but it still says: "Could not connect to Destiny 2 servers. Check your network configuration and try again. For information on resolving this issue visit help.bungie.net and search for error code: weasel" I went to the help area for theses problems on bungie but it keeps taking me in a loophole and nothing seems to work for me and every game works besides Destiny 2 PLEASE HELP

  • Hi there, Thank you for reaching out. WEASEL is a general network error on our side, which means something along the path between your system and the Destiny 2 servers is dropping or delaying traffic — even if other games seem fine. To cover all the usual culprits (some of this may overlap with what you’ve tried already), please run through these steps in order: Full power cycle Turn off your console/PC. Unplug your router and modem for at least 60 seconds, then plug them back in and wait until everything is fully online. Turn your console/PC back on and try Destiny 2 again. Use a simple, wired setup Make sure you’re on wired Ethernet (which you mentioned you are). If you have multiple routers/extenders, try bypassing them and connecting directly to the main router/modem if possible. Temporarily disable any VPNs, proxies, or “accelerator” apps. Apply Bungie’s network recommendations Work through these in order: Network Troubleshooting Guide https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496531-Network-Troubleshooting-Guide Optimizing Connections (latency / packet loss) https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049024092-Optimizing-Connections-Improving-Latency-and-Packet-Loss Advanced Steps (UPnP, NAT, Port Forwarding) https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049496751-Advanced-Troubleshooting-UPnP-Port-Forwarding-and-NAT-Types In particular: Make sure UPnP is enabled on your router (or, if you can’t use UPnP, set up the ports from the Advanced guide manually). Check that your NAT type is Open/Type 1 or 2 (not Strict/Type 3). Platform‑specific checks Console: Clear your console’s cache (power‑cycle method or system option, depending on platform). Check PSN/Xbox Live service status and sign‑out/sign‑in to your account. PC: Add Destiny 2 and Steam/Epic as exceptions in your firewall and antivirus. Close background apps that hook into the network (overlays, capture tools, etc.).
