Update for you all (partially so the thread doesn't get archived, that would be a logistical nightmare.) It might seem like it, but I haven't forgotten this - far from it. Chapter 39 is such a length that it could be posted now. However, I'm hoping to finish book two before Halo 4's release. The book will end with a few ambiguous leads which will tie in to the new trilogy, and then book three will be written with the game in mind; I'll probably take heavy inspiration from it. As a writer, once I've published a chapter online, the will to write will leave me for a while. Usually that's not too much of a problem, but as I'm on a very tight schedule here I'm going to try and write straight through to the end of the book, and then either post it all at once or (more likely) post several chapters over the course of a few consecutive days leading up to November 6th. Thanks for the patience of any still waiting on this - I know it must be frustrating to have such long waits between chapters, and I wish I had more time to write this so they wouldn't be so long. Unfortunately, I can only do what I can.
