Official League of Legends discussion thread
Thought we could have one, since more members of MBT are starting to play. You know how these things work.
For those that don't know or are interested, league of legends is a free online game where you fight in arenas on teams, trying to destroy the enemy base. Its that RTS-styled field of view, but your champion has skills. Its not an RPG, its not an RTS. Its fun. leagueoflegends.com

Last hit using my passive, and once I have ferocity full, I jump on the enemy champ. Rengar is honestly better top then in the jungle. He excels at both though.

I like the idea of his kit, and I know how it's supposed to play as I used to play something similar with a rogue in WoW. I just don't like the way his kit interacts with the Ferocity mechanic. I love all of his skills, but it just doesn't flow properly to me, either in a 1v1 or in teamfights.

I don't see any evidence, and I still don't think she has a high skill cap. Do you just have a personal problem with Anivia? ;P

You mis-understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying she has a huge skill floor, or a barrier to entry. She isn't terribly hard to learn. But she DOES have the highest skill cap. A great Anivia player can take on pretty much anything, regardless of what they are up against. I dunno how you argue against a point that almost everyone in the LoL community but you believes is true, and has backed up with evidence lol.

I must be very skilled then because I dominate with her all the time. There isn't anything that hard. One skillshot that you can blow up when you want, one AOE, and a wall. Her combo is pretty easy too. Harrass: -Throw out your Q, blow it up when you want. The only difficulty here is predicting the speed, AND letting it pass just through the enemy so you get the extra damage of passing through and exploding. -Run up and use your E. Nothing hard other than not running in and getting raped. Pretty easy. Even Easier Harrass: -Pop your ult for 1 second -Use E -Turn ult off Teamfight: -Turn on ult in main fight area, or under the person you wanna kill. -Use your Q+E combo -Place your wall so people cant leave your ult easliy She really isnt that hard at all. Either you just have a personal difficulty, or youve bought into the whole community hype that she is "difficult".

She has a very low entry floor, but an absurdly high ceiling for mastering her (from my testing, second only to Anivia). She plays a lot like Orianna, and her skills are set up fairly similarly. The big difference is that instead of using Command:Attack to reposition balls, you're simply spawning new balls at a point and doing a small aoe at said point. It gives her some really good harass potential, but it also makes the way you zone someone out a bit different. You can actually ult someone with 8 orbs, once you have full CDR. It isn't easy to get the hang of, but if you do, it's pretty much a guaranteed kill. She also has great cc potential, and isn't easy to gank in lane. Overall, I don't think she's as powerful as release Zyra or Diana, but I think she's pretty damned strong. If you ever master her, you should be able to beat nearly anyone with her. Her biggest counters in lane are probably along the lines of what Zyras are: Fizz, Galio, LeBlanc, Ahri,Vlad. Anyone who has dashes, blinks, or good escape tools can be a real pain in the ass to deal with.

From what I have seen, she looks great, a lot of potential bursts. The best way to completely burst someone down is probably... Q the enemy for a sphere, ult them, place another sphere on them, then grab a sphere and toss it at them. You can also insert her push-wave thing at any point in there to get a stun, but it would best be used after her ult during a teamfight to cause a team-wide stun

So I bought Diana. I really dislike melee champions almost as a rule, but she is really fun. She's the kind of bursty assassin that makes me giggle when I play her. Unfortunately I'm terrible with melee champions not named Gragas, so I need to brute force grind out games til I can actually play her without feeding my lane opponent. Also, Syndra out on the PBE, and she is amazing. So much control from an ap carry!
