What's your current ideal career for the future? After university I'm going to join the police. Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to do it.
and I hope the title was as painful to read as it was to write.

Like a physics teacher, or some shit. Or a writer. Or an artist. You know, I'll actually make an effort to get that Ph.D. in Astrophysics, then write books, and draw shit because I like to draw. I can illustrate my own shit.

Doctor.

I actually wanted to do the same as the OP. However alot of people were trying to talk me out of it. What truly changed my mind was the fact I couldn't work in my current community considering I knew too many people in it. As of right now I'm assuming I'll be doing office admin. The college in my town doesn't offer many choices. I'd honestly love to be a teacher though.

I'm going to college now to get a degree in criminal justice. Once I graduate, I plan on continuing my military plans and join the Army. After that is when my police career begins.
-
Go to university to major in Physics and Aeronautics Engineering. Then joining the RAF Regiment or going to Sandhurst for 3 years and becoming a Sergeant in HMR Army. Then after 45 months (3 contracts) in the Regiment transfer to USAF for a few years and get US Citizenship. Then retire somewhere nice like Florida and own a bar.

Since they are both engineering degrees, the first two years (roughly) both will have the exact same classes as almost all engineering programs start out the same. Basic calculus, basic physics, and a smattering of pre-engineering classes that consist of introductions to all or most of the fields of engineering. Further down the line (300-400 level courses) you'll get the choice of either going the Bio-med or the bio-enviro route.
