Will you be playing it?
That is, an mmorpg that requires you to enter virtual reality. I suspect we'll be seeing this soon. Within 2 or 3 years soon.
Why 2 or 3 years?
With Google Glass on the horizon, people are already finding inventive virtual reality things to do such as this. But it's not just Google Glass.
Remember the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset Kickstarter? It ended, and the guys got a whopping 2.4 MILLION dollars to budget their project with. It seems more and more like the industry is on the verge of going in this direction.
Games like Doom 3 and Hawken are confirmed to support Oculus Rift and will be the first time the current HD generation can be experience in virtual reality.
After Oculus Rift and Google Glass are released, we'll see Indie Developers and professional Devs alike start to release games in an all new medium, and it's only a matter of time before we see the world's first Virtual Reality MMO in this and future generations. Such an MMO will probably attract a huge audience, or, at the very least, a sizable community that will remain active for a long, long time. When such a time comes, will you be willing to give it a go?
How far would it have to go to lure you in, and how far would it have to go to turn you away?

I don't know... If it was an exact replica of SAO, only difference is, when you die your kicked from the game or sent back to the Town of Beginnings, I'd play. But if it's the same as to where I die in game, I die in real life, I'd probably avoid it and encourage other people to avoid it as well. Then again, Kayaba Akihiko did have a log out in the beta, then took it out of the game when it went full launch. All well, as long as it takes me from reality, I'll play :3

Skyrim in virtual reality... What's a girl?

I will diddle everyone. There's no stopping me!

Yeah no thanks. I've seen enough SAO to know not to trust VRMMORPG's and that really cute girls also don't play VRMMORPG's.

Edited by Drums93: 9/27/2013 3:58:34 AMWell if we are talking about "complete similar to SAO" with the fact that you put on a headset and you go into a virtual world and its absolutely realistic, i would love to see that. But if its something where it like "you 'know' you're playing a video game" i probably wouldn't be interested. Put my mind into the world. I want to actually believe I'm in a completely different world where I can do things I never could before. Im only 19 but I doubt that i'll ever see that in my lifetime.

I found out that there's a group of people working on it to make the game SAO they said that the nerve gear will be release around 2018-2020 and it costs around $750-$1,250 they are open for all who wants to help if you want to check it out they have fb page SEARCH Argus the prof.pic is their name which is Argus they have only 184 likes..

Edited by Arkaus: 3/3/2014 8:52:18 PMi love how people who saw SAO and immediately thought that this would become like that just mostly straight up said no. OK so think about it would that happen to something like this that hasn't even gone past the gaming world (so to speak) it would probably never bring an idea like this back up for any thing including medical uses and gaming. but seriously i highly doubt that this people would immediately think of using it as a weapon. But i would love to see this come true and i would love to see such a game as Sao come to life.
