It's been four hours since I lost contact with the rest of the world. The storm seems to have passed, leaving a trail of carnage in its wake. My town is obliterated; nothing remains but a few houses and the bridge, the sky red from the raging fires where the high street was.
I've been in contact with the Ministry of Defence. They confirmed that the storm was not the last of what is to come. Reports are already coming in that the black cloud has reached France, and is about to destroy Paris. If you're reading this and are south of the storm, get to shelter on high ground. The Thames has flooded the lower town. Three meters of rain in such a short time. We're not sure how that's even possible. Pictures of the storm show a colossal cloud, riddled with electric discharge.
