The Second Ammendment

It seemed like a lot of people didn't know what the second amendment actually says so I thought it would be a good idea to post it here on the forum.
And [i]The West Wing[/i] is a great TV-show.

You DO realize that if the Second Amendment was actually the way it was in 1776, you'd have the militia members barging into your home and inspecting your weapon? That isn't happening anytime soon here. Also, no African Americans would be aloud to have guns.

5 RepliesI find it strange how that sentence has been taken to mean that US citizens have a right to bear as many arms as they want when it's really only talking about their ability to maintain a militia.
