This madness needs to be contained somehow. Achronos, Deej, Urk, anybody please respond! Some guys found a glitch and we need this crap fixed before it gets WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of hand fast.

Edited by Achronos: 1/17/2013 11:30:33 PMThat's a little overly dramatic. Use your hide/mute button for people who abuse Unicode like that. Come on, people, the entire reason you have all this freedom now is because you can also deal with that kind of crap yourself. Hide/Ignore feeds into multiple other systems that contain that very kind of spam. FYI: Being able to use extended Unicode in the body of your post isn't a glitch, it is a feature. Just like image posting, though, if you annoy people with it, they're probably going to hide/mute you, and if that is done enough, the system will put you on a global ignore list (kind of like how mutes worked in Reach). It is a minor issue if you do it in the subject of a topic, but even there it isn't too big a deal.

This isn't new. Did you just get a computer today?
-
Well that's pretty damn funny.
-
*throws coffee cup* OK EVERYONE WE ARE ON FULL QUARANTINE.
-
You're being way to dramatic over something so small.
-
As the overlord said before me, you have a mute button, use it.

That's more annoying than a little kid in a grocery store pissed off about not getting a toy and the mother's just ignoring the kid and the kid's just crying and yelling and whining and grabbing things off the shelves and taking them to his mom trying to convince her to buy it out of sympathy but she doesn't even look and the kid just stands there screaming and jumping up and down and generally just being a giant brat until he takes that stuff back and then ends up running along the aisle with his arm out knocking all the stuff down out of pissy anger and then when his mom doesn't react still he starts throwing things and probably breaks some stuff and by now everyone's left the aisle and customers and employees are peeking around the corners seeing what the hell is going on and the mother's ignoring it like it ain't no thang ya naw what I mean and finally the kid stops throwing stuff and runs out of fake kid tears and slinks up to his mom for one final chance at begging and then he let's out an almost inaudible "mommy..." and then his mom just flips her shit and starts telling the kid to shutup and stop acting like a baby and that he's so embarrassing and that she wishes she had just put him in the dumpster like her deadbeat boyfriend insisted but she ended up leaving him hoping she could start a new life with her kid but well that didn't work out apparently and now she lives a horrible life of 9-5 work and sadness and is slowly developing a drinking habit and her friends have all abandoned her to her loneliness but then one night the government came and kidnapped him and replaced him with a clone and 20 years later Master Chief kicked some ass and that's the story of Halo.

Woah! That's actually kinda funny :P
-
That's really funny. I just say it happening in another thread.
-
Very easy to counter "Hide" "Mute" "Report"
-
Wow! That is madness, report it with Deej! D;
-
I'm actually surprised that there is no longer any non-allowed extended characters anymore, actually is quite nice. Anyhow, I really don't see this being an issue. Only one guy is spamming it, and seeing as how he quoted someone else, he probably doesn't know what that is in the first place. Just block him.
-
I muted them, but that's wicked annoying. Why does the text spill all over the page?
-
Mute them.
-
-
That's quite easy to do, it's not a glitch.
-
Hide it. Simple.
-
You guys might want to fix this. Is that what makes it happen? Well then welcome to the matrix.
-
You're welcome.
-
Mute him.
-
Thanks alot you asshole. This is only going to make the problem worse.
-
What rule did he break in the code of conduct? who cares?
