Im replaying ME3 on Insanity as an Infiltrator also with the Prothean Squad member and for some reason started thinking about the Synthesis option and how the union of organics and non organics is the final and ultimate stage of evolution.
Do you believe it to be so? Any other options in the evolutionary chart? Or are we set to one day become hybrids?

No. And I've written about this long before this thematic trash came along. Don't ask me to explain why. You don't know what you're in for, and I don't like what I'll be in for.

The the strength of both, and the weaknesses of neither.

Us humans are an interesting species. We lack thick fur, strong limbs, and sharp talons, but our intelligence for tool making make this unnecessary developments; we are able to live almost anywhere on this Earth without much trouble. With that understanding, you could almost say we already are hybrids. Clothing and tools are essential and inseperable parts of our life, as they enable us to safely live in regions where it is occasionally or always inhospitable to our existence. Of course, this technology is not permanent, but I am comfortable that that is only a matter of time. We wish to develop faster than evolution allows, and it's only a matter of time until we start messing with our wetware, probably starting on a genetic level, making our selves more resilient against disease and decay, then moving full-fledged into a body augmentation level of technology.

Transhumanism, its obviously the next logical step of a 'forced' human evolution.

I dunno, sure why not? However, I don't believe in space magic and I was also a fan of cockblocking Joker in the end....

I'm sure some mutagens will come along and will -blam!- us all up at some point.

Edited by Sandtrap: 1/20/2013 1:44:18 PMDon't have much to say, as considering this event is likely out of our grasp. And, evolution is a continuous thing, so there's probably things long past this, aka corporeal beings.

I'm 100% fine with the borg being the future for all sentience in the galaxy
