Fringe is now officially over. The series finale aired tonight. :(
What a great show. The ending was so abrupt, and left so wide open for more, that it's still hard to believe it's over. Such a shame that it was forced to end prematurely; it deserved at least 7 seasons, and preferably more. The writing was brilliant, the acting phenomenal (John Noble is a true master)... the only flaw, in my opinion, is that the show was too short.
Any other Fringe fans here? What did you think of the ending?

I thought poor September got a raw deal. After everything, he gets shot, and then subsequently erased from existence, instead of living with his son in the future as he planned. So instead, Walter ended up having to take his place after all. The ending scene with Peter was so abrupt, it still doesn't seem like an actual ending to me. I half expect to pick the story up where it left off next season, only there won't be a next season. :(

I thought the finale was very well done and only wish that this show could return for another season. I am just glad Fox allowed it to get the closure it did given that it wasn't a profitable show due to the fact that it required intellect to fully comprehend and enjoy. I have been watching the show since it premiered back in 2008 and am sad to see it go. What am I supposed to do on Friday's now!?
