Script Central: What role will it play in Bungie.next?

Compared to the older Bungie.net, scripts have been pretty much rendered inert after this update. What role do you think scripts will play in Bungie.next (especially Coup!)? Personally I was hoping that Bungie would have a 'forum API' that would allow us to access some portions of their database to develop third-party scripts. As a developer of a few scripts myself, I was definitely wishing this would be a reality (though Bungie.next has eliminated all use of the scripts I developed which is nice because they were bad regardless). What do you think?

  • +1 for hoping there'd be an API. Same here. I think for the short term, #Scripts will be where many of us work together to update our scripts, plugins, extensions, etc to operate with the new site. Long term, I see it reverting back to the status it appears to have been in since I started posting on it; a place to announce releases or updates ( which makes me sad ).
